Literacy on the Map: Common Visions, Different Paths, the 34th ACAL conference hosted by VALBEC, was a great success. Attendance over the two days was over 200, with people coming from across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. The program provided a diverse range of sessions and people were fulsome in their words of appreciation. VALBEC committee member, Pauline O’Maley gave a splendid Arch Nelson address. Victoria University proved to be a fantastic venue and the catering was sensational. The conference started and ended with song which raised our spirits for the journey ahead.
Many thanks to all the presenters and the ACAL and VALBEC committee members who worked long and hard on planning and conducting the conference. Also special thanks to Don MacDowall who once again managed everything with skill and aplomb!
Information and resources from the various sessions will be loaded to the conference website in the next few days.
The member free copy will be posted shortly (offered closed Sept 16)
