Adult Literacy: Teaching Learning and Brain Science. An informative and interactive workshop which will give participants tools to enhance their teaching practice while working with marginalised adult learners.
Do you work with learners who seem to be distracted or spaced out – do they seem anxious and not able to focus on learning? Using techniques derived from person-centred learning as developed by educator and psychologist Carl Rogers, and more recent discoveries in the field of neuroscience , participants will be able to recognise learners who are not in a learning state of mind and use simple techniques to bring them back into a learning zone.
