1. STOP PRESS!!! - Practical Matters Workshops with a CGEA Focus
There are three Practical Matters workshops in the pipeline scheduled for late October. Due to the term break we are not able to provide more information at this time. While the details are yet to be finalized we hope to hold one workshop in the Melbourne metropolitan area, one in Geelong and the third in the Hume region.
We will send out an email flyer for each in the next few weeks.

2. Positions on ACFE regional councils
Advertisements for these positions have appeared in newspapers and we encourage members to consider nominating. There is a real need for knowledgeable and committed members to take an active role in governance to ensure the best interests of learners are kept foremost in thinking and planning. This is an opportunity to work with ACFE and become part of the regional council network. There are vacancies in the following Regional Councils
Barwon South Western – 4 vacancies
Eastern Metropolitan – 3 vacancies
Gippsland – 5 vacancies
Hume – 2 vacancies
Loddon Mallee – 4 vacancies
Northern Metropolitan - 2 vacancies
Southern Metropolitan – Nil vacancies
