4. Forthcoming vacancies
on the ACFE Board and regional councils
Each Regional Council
has 9 members appointed by the Minister who provide
planning advice on adult education needs at the regional
level, and support and liaise with ACE organisations
in the region. Those interested in appointment to the
Board or a Regional Council must have a commitment
to excellence in adult community education and the
skills and expertise to make a significant contribution
to the governance of a complex organisation. It is
Government policy that government boards and committees
reflect the composition of the Victorian community.
This includes the representation of women, indigenous
and culturally diverse communities, people living in
regional Victoria, people with a disability and young
Victorians. Information for interested people and application
forms will be available on the ACFE website http://www.acfe.vic.gov.au/ from
Saturday 20 September 2008.
The closing date for expressions of interest is Friday
17 October, 2008.
For further information, contact Sally Jamieson on
(03) 9208 3713 or Jane Dewildt on (03) 9208 3708.
